Sauerbraten in the Crockpot
A very German meal made in the crockpot in 6-8 hours
Recipe:
1 chuck roast, browned on both sides
a little oil for browning the meat
1 medium onion
2 small carrots, diced
1 cup red wine
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1 cup water
salt to taste
20 gingersnap cookies or Moravian cookies if you have them
